The concept is inspired by the view of the French mountains across Lake Geneva; the form is derived from sunlight analysis; the function is based on a comparative study of similar developments in other global cities. The systematic sky salon serves as both Shanghai’s urban living room and urban oasis, embodying Jing’an’s history and culture, while also showcasing Jing’an District’s future, and, by extension, the future of Shanghai as a whole.
