Completion time: 2014
Project Size: 1700000 m²
Location: Shenzhen, China
From tower-based designs to mountains and water: The connection between Shenzhen’s mountains and sea requires clearer integration, not separation. These connections should at least include ecological elements such as water, wind, and greenery, as well as visual and experiential elements across various speeds. The pedestrian system, perpendicular to the northern urban main road, and the orientation of the buildings work together to bridge the gap between the mountains and sea.
Transform work into a network, and make the work community an “innovation network.”
From selfishness to ecology: The ecological network, including water systems and vegetation, is enveloped within the architectural space. The concept of garden architecture evolves into a three-dimensional garden city.
