The cross-shaped grid created by the layout offers maximum adaptability for the integration and coordination of the entire hospital’s functions, significantly increasing the effective use of internal space. The Red Cross culture embedded in the architectural design supports and continues the organization’s legacy, making it highly conducive to modular construction. Externally, the humble setback along the street provides a buffer zone and a soft interface with the city. Internally, it forms a rectangular, functional courtyard with the existing building. At the same time, the curved design extends the building’s façade, allowing the maximum number of rooms to benefit from natural daylight.
