In this urban design proposal, we combine planning and architectural design, utilizing changes in building form and type to create a variety of dynamic spatial configurations. Nature, culture, and gardens are the soul we wish to imbue into this project. We aim to develop a new garden-based residential model that lies between the extreme high-density of the city and the monotonous low-density of the suburbs, thus creating a unique identity and value for Deqing’s original homeland.
